AKC & OFA STANDARDS
You’ve seen these letters thrown around during your puppy search… but what exactly do they mean? “AKC” stands for American Kennel Club, an organization that sets specific “standards” for well bred dogs. “OFA” stands for Orthopedic Foundation for Animals which also provides set standards for healthy dogs. Common illness or issues found in the golden retriever breed have been carefully bred out of our dog’s pedigree. A Cottonwood Grove Puppy comes with the confidence of a well kept pedigree.
EARLY NEUROLOGICAL STIMULATION
There is really no such thing as a “neutral” learning experience when it comes to puppies. Every experience can be a positive or negative one for them during critical development windows. At CGG we are committed to learning and implementing the procedures that Animal Behaviorists say produce the best possible outcomes for healthy, smart canines. It is our commitment to you, our puppies and our communities.
SOCIALIZATION
When it comes to choosing the perfect companion to join your family or workplace, Golden Retrievers are routinely rated at the top of the list by Veterinarians and Canine Specialists. They are innately in tune with human beings, and when bred properly and raised in safe and welcoming environments will thrive. At Cottonwood Grove Goldens, all our puppies will have made contact with a minimum of 100 different humans, of carefully selected ages, sizes, genders, races, voice octaves and dress to help them recognize that humans do not need to be feared. They will have selective contact with other canines due to their immature immune systems, but we highly recommend Puppy Kindergarten once they are at their Forever Homes.
FOREVER FAMILY EXPERIENCE
At Cottonwood Grove we desire to make your first experience with your puppy as memorable as possible. We have specifically crafted multiple different “Gotcha Day” options that best suits your family. Whether its enjoying a night in one of our luxury family suites, capturing the memory by taking family pictures, or even a special delivery of your new family member. We have multiple different options to fit your families needs & desires.

DINE & DASH
A one hour pick up time and final consult is scheduled at The River Lodge where you receive your new puppy, AKC registration information, copy of Veterinary Health Report and shot records, swag bag and snacks for the road (included in purchase price).
STAY & PLAY
Enjoy your first night with your puppy in one of The River Lodge’s luxury family suites. Enjoy the disc golf course or bocce in the cottonwood grove, kayaking on our private 17 acre lake, relaxing in the hot tub, playing games in the Upper Room, or lounging by the outdoor salt water pool. Meet other CGG families and photo opportunities abound. One evening meal and breakfast are included with this complimentary package exclusive to our CGG families. Swag bag included, and you will leave with your AKC and puppy’s health and shot records.
SPECIAL DELIVERY
While we hope to welcome all our families to The River Lodge, we understand that Is not always possible. Meeting in Denver or Kansas City would be included in your adoption fees.
